STRIKE! STRIKE! STRIKE!
Picketing, Angry Chants, Sit-ins & Arrests “ Is This Higher Education?
You Betya!"

Two thousand clerical, dining hall and maintenance workers have been forced to strike at Yale University. New students on the Yale campus were witness to the arrest of over 100 strikers and their supporters arrested during their first days on campus. Yale University has cemented its reputation as having the worst labor relations of any university in the nation.

Meanwhile, the faculty unions of Long Island University's Brooklyn & C.W. Post campuses have rejected that University's contract offers. The faculty is being squeezed at the same time that tuition is being raised 6.9 percent and a $10 million dollar gymnasium is being planned at the Brooklyn campus. And, as to health benefits for Adjuncts the administration might just as well say "let them eat cake" or is it let them play ball!

So what's happening in higher education? Well, let's go back to school and find out.
